The Winner of the April 1995 Daily Mail / Royal Horticultural Society's National Garden Competition(selected from over three thousand entries),the garden has been created with a large degree of structure in order to provide all year round interest.
The garden is an R H S Associate garden... access is free to Members.
The garden has featured in many articles throughout the world as well as
in several T V pieces.
The garden is open from April 1st until mid October, weather permitting, from 10am until 5.00 pm.
For private visits by societies and groups arrangements can be made for any time of the year.
Tim has helped design a number of successful gardens.

Millgate House offers two separate options for those interested in self-catering.
The Garden Apartment,(ABOVE) which looks out and down into the garden, sleeps two people and consists of a spacious bedroom, with superking state of the art bed, fully ensuite, living room and kitchen.
The Coach House sleeps ten people and consists of two double rooms and three twin rooms (all with ensuite facilities), a large living room with views of Richmond Castle and the River Swale, and a large kitchen/dining with gas facilities and a dishwasher.
